ANNOUNCEMENTSDesserts Needed on Sept. 7 for Rally Day Church Picnic. All women please call Marilyn Kettle (419.482.6985) or Joann Ruch (419.691.0065) as to what kind of dessert you would like to bring. Thanks. One Final Cottage Meeting Sept. 4 at 7PM. Our host will be Joe Zerbey. If you haven’t already attended one of these meetings and wish to, please call the office at 419.243.4214 and let us know so your name can be passed along to Joe. Each one of you is an important part of this Christian congregation and your input is part of what Christ is calling us to become. St. Paul's has formed a partnership with the Ambassador of Christ Church, Holland, OH to offer Angel Foods to the surrounding communities and fellow parishioners starting in Sept. Angel Foods has no income qualifications, if you eat you qualify. St. Paul's will be taking orders starting in Sept. Orders will be taken on Tues. & Thurs. the first week of the month in the Parish House between 10AM & 1PM. These days may be extended. You can pay $30 cash (no checks), food stamps, or you may order on-line, www.AngelFoodMinistries .com. All orders must be prepaid. Deliveries are always on a Sat. near the end of the month between 12PM & 2:30PM. Your receipt is your proof of purchase. Sample menus are on the bulletin board in the Social Room. The food is restaurant quality; fresh, frozen, canned & boxed. Specials are available for an extra fee with the purchase of one $30 box. There are no limits on quantities that you may order. Since St. Paul's will be offering Angel Food to its members & the surrounding communities we are asking for volunteers. We will need volunteers for at least two Tuesdays & one Thurs in the beginning of every month from 10AM to 1PM to take orders. We will need at least four volunteers for the one Sat. every month near the end of the month for the people to pick up their orders from 12PM to 2:30PM. We encourage all St. Paul's parishioners to take part in this ministry by enjoying the food and better yet the fellow-ship of volunteering your time to the community. Contact Rachael Jaegley (419.836.1649) or Jacki Druckemiller (419.475.2429or militarymum@ yahoo.com) to volunteer or for further into. On the first Sunday of the month orders will be taken only for Congregational members before and after the 10:30 service in the Social Room. Thank you Altar Guild is looking for people who would like to be trained in preparing the sanctuary for Sunday morning services. It only takes about 15 minutes to do the job and you are asked to do the job one month at a time. This is a great job for couples or families and can be worked around your schedule. Please contact Jacki Druckemiller 419.475.2429 if interested or have questions. Stewardship Announcement from NW Ohio Synod - Talents Many of us are quick to say “NO” when asked to be a lay reader or serve on altar guild, teach or help with Sunday School, be an usher or serve on church council. The giving of your time and yourself is so daunting at first. But, what a good feeling! The satisfaction of serving your Lord is so rewarding that you will find yourself giving of your time and talents more and more.
