Welcome to St. Paul's church located on Courthouse Square in Downtown Toledo Ohio.
ANNOUNCEMENTSSummer Bible Study on Paul’s letter to the Romans in the social room. Sundays at 9AM and Thursdays at 10AM. The Sunday School would like to ask any congregation members that have a favorite Bible Story and would like to tell the story in costume for Rally Day to see/call Cindy Rockwell, Jill Freeman (Abitua) or Rachael Jaegly so they can make arrangements. Homebound Lay Communion Distributors On the last Sunday of the month teams of lay people will take Holy Communion to our homebound. The elements that the homebound will receive will be consecrated along with the elements on the altar for the Sunday Holy Communion. After the Holy Meal is finished, the lay members will come to the altar to receive their communion kits and a prayer will be offered for their ministry. Members serving in this ministry include Nancy Atkins, Marian Cowell, Sandy Lazenby, Bernadine Ludwig, Ann Martin, Betty Moser, Sally Ninneman, Elsie Perch and Anne Schumann. After much consideration, it has been decided that St. Paul’s will on longer be participating in Angel Food Ministries. Although the program is very worthwhile, lack of participation by our surrounding neighbors was a big part of this decision. Those still interested in purchasing Angel Food can go on line to angelfoodministries.com to find other locations, monthly menus and information. We want to thank our Angel Food coordinator, Rachael Jaegly, and all the volunteers for their support and dedication while Angel Food Ministries was here at St. Paul’s. The next issue of The Spirit of St. Paul’s will be mailed WEDNESDAY, July 8. Please submit written copy to the church office by 3PM, THURSDAY, July 2. (Office closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day). Written copy can also be emailed to awajer@sbcglobal.net. Parking Lot Change - Most members are aware that the parking lot was purchased at the close of 2008. In that purchase there is an agreement that St. Paul's would honor the current lease with KWik Parking that will continue until the end of this year. Under the current lease agreement/understanding, members attending church activities on weekends and Wednesday night services would not be charged for parking. Additionally, during the week activities required a member to get their parking ticket given by the attendant, stamped at the office to avoid payment. Recently KWik Parking has gone to a “Payment Box” format that after 3:00p.m. a person parking in the back lot would need to place a payment in the appropriate numbered box. At some later time, this may be instituted all the time. A sign indicates “No Free Parking” or a fine ticket will be placed on the car. This does not apply to St. Paul’s members attending a church activity/meeting. The contract will be honored as indicated in the above paragraph. It is suggested that if you are attending a mid week activity and a parking attendant is not on duty, park in the designated church parking area if available. This is located beside the church building. If you happen to be ticketed, turn it in to the church office at your earliest convenience and it will be voided by the parking lot management.
